We often discuss in this site the various ways you can help facilitate natural breast growth, such as using natural breast enhancement supplements. But have you ever wondered how it is like to be on the other side, e.g. having overly large breasts? These can also cause image and health problems no matter what age or gender you have. Large breasts are called macromastia in women and gynecomastia in men, and it can wreak havoc on your physical and emotional wellness.

Women with overly large breasts may find comfort in weight loss, or strengthening their muscles. They may also wear a supportive bra to address the “huge” situation at hand. For men, on the other hand, potential treatment depends on the cause of breast enlargement, which includes puberty, hormone imbalance, prescribed and illegal drugs, or any underlying medical condition. In either gender, surgical breast reduction is one option that’s usually taken, especially when all else fails.

Here are problems that may manifest with large breasts:

  1. Breast pain – You could experience chronic or lasting pain that affects your quality of life and everyday activities. The weight of large breasts could cause pain in the neck, shoulders, and back, and some could also experience headaches.
  2. Limited activity – lf you have large, pendulous breasts, you are probably restricted in your activities. It may be difficult to perform yoga, run, play golf, or do other physical activities if you are large-breasts, in addition to the poor body image and self-consciousness that you may have. This way you are prevented from fully enjoying and reaping the benefits of exercises and a healthy lifestyle.
  3. Nerve problems – Having disproportionately sized and heavy breasts can cause posture problems, leading to chronic nerve issue problems. You can notice nerve issues through tingling and numbness in your hands and arms during the day and even the night.
  4. Skin problems – The owner of an overly large pair of breasts is prone to having yeast infections, as well as skin rashes and irritation under the breast. This is because it is difficult to keep such area dry. The problem worsens during warm, humid weather. Other skin issues to expect include stretching of the skin, scar-like streaks, deep grooves or indentations on the shoulders from the pressure of bra straps, and enlarged areolas.
  5. Emotional and psychological issues – As dangerous as the physical problems are low self-esteem, self-consciousness, and poor body images. These can arise because of problems in clothing choice, discomfort in social situations, and a bad feeling about one’s self during sex. Teenagers who don’t have the normal breast size in their age are especially prone to these because of their need to fit in and be accepted by their peers.

Breast enlargement is a major beauty and health decision, so make sure that you’re doing it for the right reasons and that it is the best option for yourself and level of well-being.
